
Piotr Tchaikovsky was a
Russian composer. He was born in Votkinsk, Russia on May 7, 1840. Even
though he was Russian he was raised by a French governess. At age six
he started playing the piano. When he was eight he was sent to boarding
school. Now we covered his younger years, lets begin his older years.
At age 19 he
completed his law studies. As you know he was a composer. Some of
things he composed are The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, and
Sleeping Beauty. In 1891 he traveled to America to introduce his music.
It became very popular. He usually wrote romantic ballets and music. He
died Cholera in St. Petersburg on Novemeber 6, 1893. He was a great
composer.
