Operates Basic technology tools and applications
CSTA Level I Standard 4: (3rd to 5th) Use general purpose productivity tools and peripherals to support personal productivity, remediate skill deficits, and facilitate learning throughout the curriculum.
CSTA Level I Standard 5: (3rd to 5th) Use technology tools for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and publishing activities to create presentations, and publishing activities to create presentations for audiences inside and outside the classroom.
CSTA Level I Standard 9: (3rd to 5th) Determine which technology is useful and select the appropriate tools and technology resources to address a variety of tasks and problems.

Basic Skills:

M3P1.
Students will solve problems (using appropriate technology).
M3P2.
Students will solve reason and evaluate mathematical arguments.
M3P5.
Students will represent mathematics in multiple ways.

M3M3.
Students will understand and measure the perimeter of simple geometric figures (squares and rectangles).
a)
Understand the meaning of the linear unit and measurement in perimeter.
b)
Understand the concept of perimeter as being the boundary of a simple geometric figure.
c)
Determine the perimeter of a simple geometric figure by measuring and summing the lengths of the sides.

Key Formulas:

Perimeter:

Perimeter of Square = 4 * Side

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 * Length + 2 * Height

Perimeter of Any Polygon = Sides added together

Perimeter of Circle = 2 * Pi * Radius

Area: (4th and 5th Grades)

Area of Square = Side * Side

Area of Rectangle = Length * Height

Area of Triangle = 1/2 * Base * Height

Area of Circle = Pi*Radius*Radius
